The Internet Exchange platform
The TunIXP platform includes two main sites connected to international peering links and one secondary site for robustness purposes. By year 2014, ATI will expand its Internet Exchange infrastructure and will add more sites including one in the region of Enfidha almost 100 km from Tunis.
The IX platform is composed of Cisco 7609 and ASR9000 routers as Edge routers and 4900 switches that interconnect TunIXP members and aggregate their traffic.
The following figure shows the actual architecture of the TunIXP platform with all available ports for new members/connections.
